FBI Director Kash Patel was hit with another damning allegation of abusing the bureau’s resources after MS NOW reported Friday he has ordered his girlfriend’s security detail to drive a drunk friend home after a night of partying in Nashville.“FBI agents serve the public and swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. This is clearly a long way from that,” former FBI senior agent Christopher O’Leary and MS NOW contributor said. Three sources who were granted anonymity told the outlet that on at least two occasions, Patel’s girlfriend, country singer and private citizen Alexis Wilkins, 27, had asked agents assigned to her security to drive her friend home. However when the agents refused to divert from their assignment, Patel insisted they do so, even going as far as to yell at Wilkins’ head security to do as she said, according to the outlet.MS NOW reported that FBI Director Kash Patel had ordered agents assigned to his girlfriend Alexis Wilkins' security detail to drive her drunk friend home after partying in Nashville.Getty Images“Not only is the assignment of FBI SWAT personnel to a security detail to protect his girlfriend inappropriate, directing these highly trained professionals to babysit his girlfriend’s friend is outrageous, and demonstrative of Kash Patel’s complete lack of judgment and integrity,” O’Leary said. FBI Spokesperson Ben Williamson slammed the report, calling it “hogwash” and “1,000% false and did not happen.”“I got this allegation on Tuesday. It sounded made up, and I told the reporter so. I went and checked with everyone involved — Alexis (who doesn’t even drink), the Director, the Detail, and more — all of whom said it didn’t happen. Couldn’t find any corroboration or record of it whatsoever,” Williamson said. 1,000% false and did not happen. Absolutely. And do I take trips with her? Absolutely,” Patel said.A bombshell report published by the New York Post earlier this week has furthered public scrutiny over Patel’s leadership within the FBI. Sources said the bureau has become a “rudderless ship” as Patel is “spending too much time on social media and public relations.”When confronted with the reports that Patel was allegedly on “thin ice,” President Donald Trump told reporters “he’s doing a great job, I think.” Close
