Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Savion Hiter, arguably the top high school running back prospect in the class of 2026, officially signed with Michigan, he announced Thursday.

Hiter committed to Michigan in August, but was not among the high-profile recruits to sign Wednesday -- the opening of college football's three-day early signing period -- with the Wolverines.

Michigan confirmed Thursday that the 6-foot, 210-pound running back from Louisa County High School in Louisa, Va., submitted his paperwork.

"Officially home," Hiter wrote on X.
