RIYADH: First-year medical students showcased a variety of innovative projects at the annual Health Promotion Project Exhibition at Alfaisal University in Riyadh on Thursday.
The projects, with a “Future Outlook 2040” theme, focused on topics including an AI-powered wellness ecosystem, patient safety, cancer awareness, and the integration of digital health technologies.
The exhibition provided a platform for students to present their research and solutions related to critical public health themes aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, Zaid Alsawawy, a student participating in the health expo, told Arab News.
He said: “Saudi Arabia’s healthcare is one of the best in the world, but it can be better. The current healthcare system is experiencing a strain due to its limited integration of the environmental change. Our goal is trying to eliminate this by proposing a bridge, connecting the medical profession to the environmental sector.”
Speaking to Arab News on the sideline of the exhibition, Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, founder of the annual health promotion project, vice dean, college of medicine, and head of family medicine department at Alfaisal University, thanked Dr. Mohammed Alhayaza, university president, and Princess Maha Al-Saud, university vice president of external relations and advancement, for the support provided for the health promotion project.
