Josh Shapiro Is Not Happy With Kamala Harris' 'Blatant Lies'In an explosive section of an interview with the Atlantic, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) accused former Vice President Kamala Harris of telling “blatant lies” and writing “complete and utter bullshit” about him. The Pennsylvania governor went off at Harris over how the 2024 Democratic Party presidential nominee characterized him in her book “107 Days.” Harris had considered Shapiro to be her running mate but ultimately chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).In the new Atlantic piece, writer Tim Alberta details to Shapiro what Harris had written in her then-unpublished memoir, specifically her suggestion that Shapiro had asked questions about the vice-presidential residence and pondered borrowing Pennsylvania art for the house from the Smithsonian. Her overall unflattering portrayal, which played into some of the public criticism of Shapiro, did not sit well.“That’s complete and utter bullshit,” Shapiro told the Atlantic. “I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies.”When asked if he felt betrayed by Harris, Shapiro replied, “I mean, she’s trying to sell books and cover her ass.”Shapiro, who is widely seen as a 2028 presidential hopeful, then added, “I shouldn’t say ‘cover her ass.’ I think that’s not appropriate. She’s trying to sell books. Period.”Read more at The Atlantic.See All UpdatesClose
