It's tempting to watch "With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebrations" with 2025 hindsight.
How might Duchess Meghan's very-special-Christmas-episode of her "With Love" Netflix series respond to everything that went down since the show's March premiere? "Everything" would include nonstop criticism and discourse about the show and the expat royals, Meghan's As Ever brand launch, Prince Harry's legal fight in the U.K., a private reunion with his estranged dad, the former Prince Andrew's excommunication from the family and more.
But this isn't "The Life of a Duchess," and Mrs. Sussex and her team (thankfully) haven't shoved too many Easter eggs in this eggnog-flavored installment of her lifestyle show. It also seems this was taped sometime back in 2024 with the rest of the episodes. (The proof, sadly, is the onscreen presence of Guy, Meghan's beloved elderly beagle, who died back in January.)
So while the British monarchy remains in crisis and the duke and duchess still trigger very strong opinions around the world, over in Montecito, California, Meghan shakes off a rough year (for all of us!) by decking the halls in an hour of context-free, ambient programming.
You'll witness the construction of "reindeer chow" (aka puppy chow), wreaths, advent calendars, and Christmas crackers (the non-edible, exploding kind), the entombment of a teddy bear in a vintage scarf (using the Japanese Furoshiki gift-wrapping technique), lots of kitchen time, and cameos from a listless Naomi Osaka, an enthusiastic Tom Colicchio and Prince Harry at his most impish. Here are the highlights from the special:
