The festival’s “Honoree Award” recognizes artists whose work has left an indelible mark on global cinema — and this year’s selection reflects the breadth and depth of storytelling across generations and geographies.

Caine — a two-time Academy Award–winning English actor whose career spans decades and encompasses unforgettable roles — is being honored for his enduring impact on film.

Weaver, a towering presence in Hollywood and one of the most versatile actors of her generation, also joins the honors list. The festival cited her “significant contributions to cinema throughout (her) remarkable career.”
