Cory Booker is now a married man.

The U.S. Senator, 56, and Alexis Lewis, 38, tied the knot in two separate wedding ceremonies. The couple first wed on Nov. 24 at a courthouse in Newark, New Jersey, where Booker served as the first African American U.S. senator.

The duo also celebrated their matrimony with family and friends during a wedding ceremony in Booker’s home city, Washington, D.C., on Saturday, according to multiple outlets.

On Sunday, Booker and Lewis took to Instagram to announce the big news in a joint post.

“Overflowing with gratitude. We said ‘I do’ in two places that shaped us—Cory’s beloved Newark and Alexis’s hometown of Washington, D.C.—first at the courthouse, then with our families,” the pair captioned the post.
