Widespread rain with light to moderate rainfall at many places with heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on Friday (November 28, 2025) under the influence of the cyclonic storm Ditwah over coastal Sri Lanka and adjoining south west Bay of Bengal.
The intensity of rain is very likely to increase gradually over the next two days. The coverage of rain would decrease gradually from December 1, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). An orange alert has been issued for south Andhra coast apart from north Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The coverage and intensity of rain is expected to increase becoming light to moderate rainfall at most places with heavy to very rainfall at isolated places on November 29, 2025 and heavy to very heavy at a few places and extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on November 30 over south coastal Andhra Pradesh.
It would then decrease gradually becoming light to moderate rainfall at many places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places on December 1, 2025 and heavy rainfall at isolated places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh on December 2, 2025.
