Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots will place rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell on injured reserve, coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Wednesday.
Campbell sustained a knee sprain and was carted to the locker room in the third quarter of a 26-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati.
Vrabel said Monday that he expected Campbell to miss more than a "week or two." He is now required to miss at least four games due to his placement on injured reserve.
Campbell, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, started 12 games through the first 12 weeks of his rookie campaign. Vederian Lowe will fill in at left tackle during his hiatus.
