President Donald Trump on Thursday said he would “permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries” as he continues to use a Washington, D.C., shooting to intensify his crackdown on immigration.One National Guard member has since died of her injuries and another remains in critical condition as of Sunday.Authorities said Wednesday’s attack was carried out by an Afghan national. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) in a social media post Tuesday, a day after the Pentagon launched an investigation into the former U.S. Navy fighter pilot and astronaut.In a video released last week, Kelly was one of six Democratic members of Congress who angered Trump by urging service members to stand up to the president by not following any “illegal orders.”In a statement announcing the investigation, the Pentagon cited a federal law that allows retired service members to be recalled to active duty on orders of the defense secretary for possible court martial or other measures.Responding to the news on X, Kelly shared an image of his uniform and medals and said he would not be “silenced by bullies.”Hegseth responded on the platform, trolling Kelly about his uniform.“So 'Captain' Kelly, not only did your sedition video intentionally undercut good order & discipline…but you can’t even display your uniform correctly,” he wrote. “Your medals are out of order & rows reversed.
