Sometimes it takes only one person to shift the entire energy of a moment. In a recent clip, an athlete notices a young boy standing in the cold rain. Without hesitating, he takes off his jacket and gently places it around his shoulders. Seconds later, his teammates notice. One steps forward and puts his jacket on another young person. Then another. Soon the whole team is offering their jackets too.

What began as a single act of kindness turns into a movement.

This is the power of the first mover. When someone leads with intention, others rise with them. Kindness gives people permission to be kinder. Courage gives people permission to be braver. Humanity gives people permission to show theirs.
