Madanapalle Police on Tuesday (November 25, 2025) arrested two more accused in connection with the illegal kidney transplantation case that came to light early this month.
On November 9, 2025, a Bengaluru-based doctor, his team and others performed kidney transplantation on two women from Visakhapatnam violating the prescribed rules and regulations. One of the woman, Yamuna, died of post-surgery complication the next day and a case had been registered based on the complaint of the woman’s mother Suramma.
Police registered cases under various Sections of BNS and Human Organ Transplantation Act - 2011 and arrested six accused so far. On Tuesday, police arrested two more accused Kondaiah and Suman, who hail from Kadapa, and sent them to judicial remand.
