RIYADH: Specialized media programs organized by the Saudi-backed Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition kicked off in Niamey, Niger.
The initiative focuses on developing media and TV messaging to strengthen the role of security and traditional media in combating terrorism as part of the coalition’s efforts in the Sahel region.
Running until Dec. 2, the programs include a three-day training course on media and TV messaging to counter extremism and terrorism.
A workshop on the role of traditional and modern media in raising public awareness about preventing terrorism will be organized, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Another workshop on the role of security media in countering societal despair will also be held, with more than 40 trainees from the security, military, and media sectors participating.
