ALULA: The Ancient Kingdoms Festival, held across various archeological sites in AlUla governorate, is celebrating more than 7,000 years of civilization.
The festival, themed “Journeys Through Time,” spans the Dadan, Lihyan and Nabataeans civilizations, and includes the modern era, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Running until Dec. 6, the festival offers immersive experiences, historical performances, interactive programs, and education tours.
Abdulrahman Alsuhaibani, vice president of culture at the Royal Commission for AlUla, said the region is now considered one of the world’s most prominent archeological locations.
Alsuhaibani added that the festival underscores the rich cultural legacy of the northwestern Arabian Peninsula.
