Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Chinese tech firm AgiBot earned a Guinness World Record when its humanoid robot, A2, went for a 66-mile walk from Jiangsu Province to Shanghai.
The robot set off from Jinji Lake and arrived at Shanghai's Bund in a single continuous walk made possible by a system devised to allow the robot to swap batteries while continuing to operate.
The 24-hour trek earned AgiBot the Guinness World Records title for the longest journey walked by a humanoid robot.
AgiBot said A2 followed all traffic laws during its long trek and walked across various surfaces including asphalt, tiled pavement and bridges.
