Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Four people were killed and at least 13 were injured, including two children, in Russian drone strikes overnight on the north-eastern city of Kharkiv.

Provincial Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said those killed were three women aged 27, 41 and 69, and a 55-year-old man.

Kharkiv Regional Police said Russian forces launched at least 48 drones against the Shevchenkivskyi, Kholodnohirskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Ukraine's second-largest city, damaging several houses, an apartment building, power lines, a business premises, a school and cars.

To the east and southeast of Kharkiv in Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts, one person was injured, 89 were evacuated and houses, farm buildings and cars were damaged after Russian artillery targeted seven rural communities.
