Nov. 24 (UPI) -- The Las Vegas Raiders, who own one of the worst offensives in the NFL, fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, coach Pete Carroll announced.
Carroll announced the move Sunday night, after the Raiders' 24-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
"I spoke with Chip Kelly earlier this evening and informed him of his release as offensive coordinator of the Raiders," Carroll wrote in a statement. "I would like to thank Chip for his service and wish him all the best in the future."
The Raiders scored 16 points or fewer in six of 11 games this season, including each of their last three. They totaled the second-fewest points and third-fewest yards in the NFL through 12 weeks.
