X rolls out location feature, unmasking MAGA accounts as foreign-based - UPI.com

Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Elon Musk's social media company X on Friday rolled out a new feature that shows where accounts are based, which has inadvertently unmasked a number of MAGA accounts as foreign-based.

Democratic influencer Harry Sisson shared a thread in which he posted screenshots of the new location data for several major MAGA accounts, beginning with the account Red Pilled Nurse -- whose account is based in Europe.

An account dedicated to commentary on White House "border czar" Tom Homan showed that it, too, was based in Europe while the account "MAGA Nadine" was shown to be based in Morocco.

Other countries represented in Sisson's analysis include Bangladesh, Nigeria, Macedonia, and Russia.
