Top US and Ukrainian representatives met in Geneva on Sunday, November 23, for a new round of talks on a proposal to halt the war. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and head of Ukraine's delegation Andriy Yermak both hailed "good progress" in talks underway in Geneva, which are set to continue into the evening. "We have very good progress, and we are moving forward to the just and lasting peace Ukrainian people deserve," Yermak told reporters, while Rubio described the talks as "probably the most productive and meaningful ... so far in this entire process."

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was "personally" grateful to Donald Trump after the US leader published another angry social media post blasting Kyiv for having "zero gratitude." "Ukraine is grateful to the United States, to every American heart, and personally to President Trump for the assistance that – starting with the Javelins – has been saving Ukrainian lives," Zelensky said in an X post. "UKRAINE 'LEADERSHIP' HAS EXPRESSED ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS," Trump wrote earlier on his Truth Social platform, also blasting European countries for not doing enough to stop the war, but offering no direct condemnation of Moscow.
