Managing trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust R. J. Rathnakar said that Sri Sathya Sai Baba had personally imparted to him several valuable lessons, and narrated instances of how Sathya Sai Baba guided his destiny at every step, shaping both his life and path of service.
Addressing a massive gathering of devotees at the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba here on Sunday (November 23), Mr. Rathnakar said that Baba’s work should be publicised extensively. “Do we need to tell the world that there is light when the sun rises? When good is done, it shines on its own.” Mr. Rathnakar recalled Baba’s words, and the promise he made to his mother that he would remain in Prasanthi Nilayam and dedicate his life to spread the message of Baba.
Reaffirming Sathya Sai Baba’s continuing presence, he said the mission remains vibrant because devotees across the world experience Baba’s guidance and protection every moment. Drawing an analogy, he recalled Baba’s teaching that just as bathing in the Ganga does not sanctify the river but purifies the individual, service through Sai institutions transforms the devotee more than the organisation itself. With this conviction, he noted, 7.5 lakh members of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation are engaged in continuous service activities with dedication and faith.
