Right-wing influencer Benny Johnson weighed in Thursday on the recent break between some conservatives and President Donald Trump over U.S. foreign involvement.

A number of MAGA loyalists, including Tomi Lahren, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, have criticized the president over the administration involving the U.S in other countries’ affairs while Americans are dealing with issues at home.

Among those who have broken away from Trump is MAGA firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who is entrenched in a public fallout with the president — even suggesting he betrayed the “America First” promise he made during his campaign.

“A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves. A patriot is an American that serves the United States of America, and Americans like the women standing behind me,” Greene said Tuesday.

Greene is one of the few Republicans who called Trump out for inserting the U.S into foreign wars and criticized her own party for the government shutdown. However, Johnson said he believes Greene is “going to try and make good with President Trump,” comparing her remarks to “constructive criticism,” before drawing an odd analogy involving domestic violence.
