Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Starbucks Workers United escalated its strike against the coffee giant, adding more than 25 cities and a distribution center to its effort.

The strike began on Starbucks' biggest sales day of the year: Red Cup Day, Nov. 13.

"Yesterday, striking baristas took action at Starbucks' east coast distribution center. Today, union stores in 25+ MORE cities are joining our national, open-ended ULP [unfair labor practice] strike! Our union isn't slowing down... in fact, we're just getting started," the union said on X.

The union announced about 2,000 baristas will now strike at 95 stores in 65 cities.
