Rep. Maria Salazar (R-Fla.) appeared to agree with President Donald Trump’s worst fears about the afterlife as she defended the president for calling a female journalist “piggy.”
While aboard Air Force One on Friday, Trump attempted to silence a question on the Jeffrey Epstein files from Bloomberg News reporter Catherine Lucey.
“Quiet. Quiet, piggy,” the president snapped.
Salazar, a former journalist, was asked about Trump’s remarks by Jake Tapper on CNN on Tuesday.
She said the president is a “different type of politician,” and that she opts to “look at his policies and not at his personality.”
