JEDDAH: India’s Indraprastha Gas Ltd. has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s Masah Construction Co. to explore opportunities to develop and operate natural gas distribution networks in the Kingdom.
The agreement marks IGL’s first overseas venture and supports Saudi Arabia’s plans to expand cleaner and more efficient natural gas infrastructure across industrial zones. The partnership also strengthens energy and economic ties between the two countries.
The collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to expand gas infrastructure, improve industrial energy efficiency, and encourage private-sector participation.
The deal was signed in the presence of several senior officials, including Saudi Investment Promotion Authority CEO Khaled Al-Khattaf, Federation of Saudi Chambers Secretary-General Waleed H. Al-Orainan, IGL Chairman Raj Kumar Dubey, and Managing Director Kamal Kishore Chatiwal. The signatories were IGL Commercial Director Mohit Bhatia and Masah Chairman Mohammed Abdul Nayeem.
“This landmark partnership marks IGL’s first international venture, advancing its long-term vision to expand its global footprint while promoting sustainable and cleaner energy solutions,” the company said in a post on X.
