Pondicherry University Vice-Chancellor P. Prakash Babu made a courtesy call on Lt. Governor and Chief Rector of the University K. Kailashnathan at Raj Nivas recently.
During the meeting, Mr. Prakash Babu appraised Mr. Kailashnathan of his recent meeting with the Vice-President of India and Chancellor of Pondicherry University C.P. Radhakrishnan at New Delhi.
He also extended an invitation to Lt. Governor to participate in the upcoming 30th convocation ceremony of the institution.
A press note from the University said the next convocation for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 batches of students are tentatively scheduled to be held in December.
The Vice-Chancellor has also briefed the Lt. Governor about Pondicherry University’s recent achievements, including attaining the overall 470th position in Asia, 7th among Central Universities of India, 63rd position among Indian Universities and 121st place among Southern Asia Universities in the newly released QS Asia University Rankings 2026.
