Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Bryan Jennings, 66, is scheduled to be executed Thursday evening in Florida for the rape and murder of 6-year-old Becky Kunash, whom he abducted from her bed while she slept.
He is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 6 p.m. EST at Florida State Prison in Starke. It will be Florida's 16th this year.
Jennings, 20 at the time of the attack in 1979, was a Marine. He said he was drawn to her bedroom by the glow of her night light, which she used to feel safe, USA Today reported.
He climbed in her window in Merritt Island, Fla., and abducted her. He raped her, killed her and dumped her naked body into a canal, where a fisherman found her later that day.
