The lawyer behind the controversial prison transfer of convicted sex trafficker and Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell attempted to defend his actions on Thursday.
Back in August, Maxwell was transferred from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security facility in Bryan, Texas, after she reportedly discussed Donald Trump’s relationship to Epstein with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche during two days of questioning.
Considering that Blanche represented Trump in his 2024 hush money trial, and that he interviewed Maxwell after the Department of Justice informed Trump he was in the Epstein files, the transfer was criticized for seeming to show preferential treatment.
The transfer looked even worse after Wednesday’s release of documents showed Trump’s relationship with Epstein went further than previously known.
Conservative attorney and never-Trumper George Conway took to X to basically attack Blanche over the way he handled Maxwell.
