Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles 2028 schedule will have the women's 100-meter final on Day 1 and a 26-final "Super Saturday," organizers announced Wednesday.

Olympic athletes will flood the Los Angeles region and Oklahoma City to compete in 36 sports and 51 disciples across 49 venues from July 12 to 30, 2028. The Opening Ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. EDT July 14 at Los Angeles Coliseum and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

"With Olympic ticket registration opening in January of 2026, now is the time to start planning what events you want to attend, which sports are coming to your neighborhood and the moments of history you don't want to miss," LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover said in a news release.

"Athletes and fans from around the world now have what they need to plan an unforgettable Olympic experience."
