Pope Leo on Wednesday had a brief private meeting in the Vatican with Italian pop queen Laura Pausini, the Holy See said.

Pausini, 51, one of the most successful Italian singers ever with multiple Grammy awards and huge followings in Spain and Latin America as well as Italy, was accompanied by the vice president of Warner Bros, the Vatican said.
