As the investigation into the death of a Florida teen on a Carnival cruise ship continued Tuesday, Nov. 11, details remained scarce.
Anna Kepner, 18, of Titusville, died while on a cruise on the Carnival Horizon. The ship returned to Port Miami on Nov. 8, after a trip to the Caribbean.
In a statement to FLORIDA TODAY, Carnival Cruise officials said, “The death of a guest traveling on the Carnival Horizon voyage that returned to Port Miami on Saturday morning, Nov. 8, is being investigated by the FBI."
The FBI shares jurisdiction with state law enforcement agencies for maritime incidents.
"Our focus is on supporting the family of our guest,” the statement said.
