The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has announced the second series of courses under its Professional Certification Programmes in Cybersecurity and Software Development, offered by the IITB Trust Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering.

As part of its ongoing efforts to offer industry-relevant and application-driven education, IIT Bombay has designed these programmes to follow an academic–industry integrated model that blends theoretical rigour with hands-on practice. In a press statement, the institute said that each fully online programme spans twelve months and comprises three structured courses delivered by the institute’s faculty. Weekly laboratory sessions replicate real-world professional environments, enabling participants to develop both conceptual understanding and workplace-ready expertise.

The new series introduces a fourteen-week course on Network Security under the Cybersecurity Programme, which focuses on protecting computer networks against evolving cyber threats through practical learning in defence strategies, secure protocols and network hardening techniques. Another fourteen-week course on Full-Stack MERN Development with Apache and Nginx under the Software Development Programme aims to equip learners with the ability to design, build and deploy secure, scalable web applications using modern frameworks and server configurations.
