A high-intensity explosion occurred in a slow-moving vehicle outside the Red Fort in central Delhi on Monday (November 10, 2025) evening, killing at least nine people and injuring more than 12 others in front of the Red Fort on Monday (November 10). Home Minister Amit Shah said that “all possibilities are being explored and a thorough investigation will be conducted taking all options into account.”

Following the explosion, the cause of which was yet to be disclosed by the police, a nationwide alert was sounded leading to enhanced security in crowded areas.

The incident came shortly after Jammu and Kashmir police announced on Monday (November 10) that it has busted an inter-State terror module where seven people were arrested and 2900 kgs explosives were seized over the past 15-days.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that around 7 p.m. a blast occurred in a Hyundai i20 vehicle, due to which nearby vehicles were damaged, and few pedestrians were injured.
