The police on Monday (November 10, 2025) arrested a youth for sexually assaulting a 65-year-old woman in Deganipalle village at Beerangi Kothakota mandal of Madanapalle division.
The police said that the accused allegedly entered the woman’s house when she was alone and committed the crime. On hearing her cries for help, the neighbours rushed to her rescue, but the accused had reportedly fled the scene. She was taken to a local government hospital for treatment.
The police registered a case and took up investigation. The accused was taken into custody when he was about to board a bus at a local bus stop.
