Election officials on Sunday expressed the hope that the house-to-house enumeration, the first stage of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, can be completed by November 25 in Kerala. The official deadline set by the Election Commission of India (ECI) is December 4.
Chief Electoral Officer (Kerala) Rathan U. Kelkar on Sunday directed District Collectors to ensure that the booth-level officers (BLO) complete the distribution of the enumeration forms by November 25. As far as Kerala is concerned, there is no difficulty in completing the first stage by November 25, Mr. Kelkar said.
