Deepthy Krishna, researcher at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), will be awarded a scholarship in memory of historian K.V. Krishna Ayyar, here on Sunday. The scholarship was instituted by the Calicut Heritage Forum to commemorate Ayyar’s contribution to the history of Kozhikode and Kerala. It carries a purse of ₹25,000 and a certificate. The scholarship will be presented during the Krishna Ayyar Endowment Lecture to be delivered by K.A.M. Anwar at 5.30 p.m. at K.P. Kesava Menon Hall. Mr. Anwar will speak on the late historian M.G.S. Narayanan.
