Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) claimed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has been on a “revenge tour” because President Donald Trump and cohorts “shut down” her Senate aspirations.

The normally Trump-loyal Greene has notably defied the president lately, pushing for the Jeffrey Epstein files to be released and essentially siding with Democrats in the health care fight that’s extending the government shutdown.

“Here’s some tea for you,” Ocasio-Cortez said on an Instagram livestream Monday. “MTG, people are like, ‘Oh my God, she’s saying all these things, like, what’s gotten into her lately?’ ‘Oh, like, she’s bucking against Trump, she’s bucking against the administration.’”

“Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to run for Senate in Georgia,” the Democrat continued. “She wanted to run for Senate earlier this year in the state of Georgia. She wanted to be the Republican nominee for Senate. So she was gearing up for that statewide race, and Trump told her no.

“Trump said no. And the White House and Trump Land shut down Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal ambitions to run for Senate, and she has been on a revenge tour ever since.”
