Keira Knightley doesn’t love seeing herself on-screen. So much so, that the actor hasn’t watched some of her films at all. The “Bend It Like Beckham” actor appeared on BBC Radio 2’s “The Scott Mills Breakfast Show” on Monday, where she spoke about the difference between filming a movie and a fan’s relationship with said movie. “What’s wonderful about those films is they have become people’s favorites, and they watch them again and again and again and again,” she said. “I either haven’t watched them, or I have only watched them once, because it’s not a particularly lovely experience watching your own face back at you.” “I have only seen ‘Love Actually’ once,” Knightley said of the 2003 film. “I saw it at the premiere and I have never seen it [since]. I think I was 18. So, over 20 years ago, I saw ‘Love Actually.’” Mills then asked the actor if she’d ever seen “Pirates of the Caribbean,” the hit franchise she appeared in four times. Bloom recently said that he’d like to see the entire cast back for another film in the series, though Knightley doesn’t seem so keen. “You know I think my pirating days are over,” she told People magazine on the red carpet in September. “I think I definitely spent many years doing that and, you know, it was amazing and I’m very pleased to have been a part of that, but I suspect that my swashbuckling days are done.” Close
