Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The Arizona Cardinals remain committed to starting quarterback Kyler Murray, despite Jacoby Brissett's success in the role, coach Jonathan Gannon announced.

Gannon made the declaration after Brissett threw for 261 yards and accounted for three scores while leading the Cardinals to a 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday in Arlington, Texas, snapping a five-game losing streak. Murray remains sidelined by a foot injury.

"Nothing's changed," Gannon said, when asked if Murray would return to a starting role. "That's just how I feel."

Brissett completed 21 of 31 passes and found the end zone twice through the air. He also ran for a touchdown. The Cardinals out-gained the Cowboys 340 to 333 in total yards and held a 23-22 edge in first downs. The Cardinals defense forced three turnovers.
