Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Waymo's self-driving taxis are heading to San Diego, Detroit and Las Vegas sometime next year, the company announced Monday.
Waymo, a subsidiary of Google's parent company, Alphabet, has been testing its autonomous vehicles in the three cities to see how they perform under various conditions, including on snow and ice in Detroit. A launch date has not been announced.
"We're bringing the safety, reliability and magic of our autonomous ride-hail service to three more cities next year," the company wrote Monday in a post on X.
