Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Jannik Sinner replaced Carlos Alcaraz atop the ATP rankings Monday, but will revert to No. 2 next week because of the math involved.

Sinner beat No. 8 Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada in the 2025 Paris Masters finale Sunday to climb back to the world No. 1 ranking. Alcaraz lost in the Round of 32 of that tournament.

No. 3 Alexander Zverev of Germany, No. 4 Taylor Fritz of the United States and No. 5 Novak Djokovic of Serbia held onto their spots in the Top 5 of the rankings. No. 6 Ben Shelton of the United States climbed one spot, replacing No. 7 Alex de Minaur of Australia.

Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada climbed two spots to No. 8. No. 9 Lorenzo Musetti of Italy dropped one spot. No. 10 Casper Ruud of Norway also fell one spot.
