A strong 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of southern Alaska Thursday morning, prompting residents in the state’s most populous city, Anchorage, to report feeling shaking.
A 6.4 earthquake was recorded on March 4 near the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The British Geological Survey said the earthquake was 2.5 magnitude

Tremors were felt across the island, including in the capital Taipei
The magnitude 6.1 quake was centered in the town of Sindirgi in Balikesir province
