CNN’s Scott Jennings met with CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss this week, signaling a possible move to the right-turning network, Semafor reported.

Jennings, who worked under former President George W. Bush, has provided a controversial opposition voice on CNN. His debates with other panelists on Abby Phillip’s “NewsNight” and other programs are frequently covered by the media.

His status as a Republican “heel” of sorts at CNN might be a good fit for CBS, which is showing signs of a more friendly approach toward President Donald Trump.

Jennings is not a full-time CNN employee, and he is free to meet with the competition, a source told HuffPost.

It is believed Weiss was hired to solidify CBS’ more conservative direction. The network bent to the president by paying him $16 million to settle his questionable lawsuit claim that “60 Minutes” edited an interview with Kamala Harris to boost her prospects before the 2024 election.
