With heavy rains under the influence of Cyclone Montha causing major disruption to rail and road transport in Mahabubabad district of Telangana on Wednesday (October 29, 2025), several trains were stranded for hours, and many low-lying areas were inundated.
The Golconda Express bound for Hyderabad was halted at Dornakal Junction as tracks were submerged in rainwater, while the Krishna Express heading to Tirupati was stopped at Mahabubabad railway station. Several goods trains on the Warangal–Khammam route were also detained due to flooding of tracks.
