A very powerful hurricane is creeping towards Jamaica with anticipation that it will be the strongest storm to hit the Caribbean island in modern history.
Hurricane Melissa, now a Category 5 system, is creeping towards the island's southern coast with winds surpassing 280km/h (174mph) - the strongest on Earth so far this year.
By Tuesday the storm's peak intensity had surpassed that of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
For a nation already living on the front lines of a changing climate, the threat is grave.
So will the nation withstand its impact?
