The Indian Navy will organise an Operational Demonstration on December 4 at Shangumughom here in connection with this year’s Navy Day celebrations.
Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, will host the gala event.
The Navy is yet to receive confirmation regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
The decision to have Thiruvananthapuram as the venue is in continuation of the Navy’s effort to organise the annual celebrations at locations other than major naval stations. In 2023, it was held at Sindhudurg in Maharashtra and in 2024, at Puri in Odisha.
Commodore Varghese Mathew, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Kerala) briefed the media about the December 4 event at a press conference on Monday.
