President Donald Trump urged the Justice Department to look into election fraud with “gusto” as he rehashed his favorite grievance from the 2020 presidential race in a Sunday post on Truth Social.
Using the feds’ investigation into an illegal gambling ring with ties to pro basketball as his jumping off point, the president said, “What’s worse, the NBA Players cheating at cards, and probably much else, or the Democrats cheating on Elections.”
Not the type to abandon an old grudge, Trump added, “The 2020 Presidential Election, being Rigged and Stolen, is a far bigger SCANDAL. Look what happened to our Country when a Crooked Moron became our ‘President!’ We now know everything.”
Trump’s “big lie” about widespread, systemic voter fraud has been repeatedly debunked by government agencies, news outlets and even experts that the president’s people hired to specifically suss out irregularities.
Nevertheless, the president pushed for another investigation, writing, “I hope the DOJ pursues this with as much ‘gusto’ as befitting the biggest SCANDAL in American history! If not, it will happen again, including the upcoming Midterms.”
