Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A crane collapsed at a marina dock in Massachusetts near Boston, killing two subcontractors, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. Friday in an industrial area on the Mystic River in Everett, near Boston, WCVB-TV reported.
One person died at Massachusetts General Hospital and workers were attempting to recover the body of another man under the fallen crane, WBTS-TV reported.
Crews were working to dismantle obsolete equipment at the marine dock terminal when the crane fell. The crane was 4 to 5 stories tall.
Referred to as "Iron End," it previously served as a spot where tankers would offload for Exxon.
