The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Coimbatore, will organise a “Standards Carnival” on October 26 (Sunday) at the Lakshmi Mills Urban Centre in Coimbatore.
A press release from the BIS said the carnival, which will be held at the open space near the Lulu Hypermarket from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., aims to create awareness among the public on the importance of standards, quality, and safety in daily life.
Planned as a part of the World Standards Day celebrations, the carnival will feature a range of interactive activities, combining learning with entertainment, including cultural performances, music and dance shows, interactive exhibits, games, and awareness activities highlighting the role of BIS in promoting quality assurance and consumer protection.
