U.S. Treasury yields moved higher on Thursday as investors monitored the latest trade news and looked ahead to key inflation data.

At 5:24 a.m. ET, the 10-year Treasury yield added over three basis points to 3.989%, while the 2-year Treasury note yield was up 1 basis point at 3.463%. The 30-year bond was also up 3 basis points to 4.575%.

One basis point is equal to 0.01% and yields and prices move in opposite directions.

Investors are keeping an eye on trade relations between the U.S. and China as President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that his upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping has been “scheduled.”
