Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers has died at the age of 48.

His rock band announced the sad news on Instagram Saturday, but the musicians did not disclose the cause of his death.

TMZ noted Rivers had undergone a liver transplant in 2018.

"In Loving Memory of Our Brother, Sam Rivers. Today we lost our brother.Our bandmate. Our heartbeat.
